Accu-Chek Aviva control solution is intended for performing control tests on the dedicated test strips and blood glucose meters. It is indicated for self-testing by people with diabetes and for near-patient testing by healthcare professionals.

Testing control solutions with known glucose levels establishes that the operator and the system are performing acceptably. Control results must be within the defined acceptable ranges before valid patient testing is allowed.

The Accu-Chek Aviva test strips can be used with the following Accu-Chek meters and test strips:

• Accu-Chek Aviva
• Accu-Chek Aviva Combo
• Accu-Chek Aviva Connect
• Accu-Chek Aviva Expert 
• Accu-Chek Aviva Insight
• Accu-Chek Aviva Nano

• Only use Accu-Chek Aviva control solution with your Accu-Chek Aviva test strips. 
• Do not ingest or inject the control solution or use the control solution as eye drops. 
• The printed use by date is valid if the unopened control solutions are stored between 2 and 32 °C. 
• The control solutions do not need to be kept in the refrigerator. DO NOT freeze the control solution. 
• Write the date the control solution bottle was opened on the bottle label. The control solution must be discarded 3 months from the date the control solution bottle was opened (discard date) or on the use by date on the bottle label, whichever comes first. 
• Control solutions taken directly from the refrigerator must be allowed to adjust to room temperature (without opening the control solution bottle). 
• The control solution can stain fabric. Remove stains by washing with soap and water. 
• This product contains small parts that can be swallowed. Keep the small parts away from small children and people who might swallow small parts.
