Roche Diagnostics Named a Military Friendly® Employer by Victory Media

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 20, 2019) — Roche Diagnostics USA has received a Military Friendly® Employer Gold Award by VIQTORY. Since 2003, the Military Friendly® Employers list has come to set the standard for organizations to provide the best opportunities for veterans and their spouses. Each year, the list of Military Friendly® Employers is provided to service members and their families, helping them discover the best post-military career opportunities available.

Roche Diagnostics is committed to hiring military and veteran talent, knowing first-hand that recruiting veterans and military spouses is not only the “right thing to do,” but the right thing for business. “We're thrilled to receive this recognition of our efforts to be a military and veteran friendly employer. We find that those who have military backgrounds are inherently good at connecting with a mission and are used to solving challenges,” says Bridget Boyle, Vice President and Site Head of Human Resources and executive sponsor of the Indianapolis veterans business resource group. “Our veterans business resource group brings together the community of veterans and civilian patriots to promote understanding of the service culture.”

Roche will be showcased along with other 2020 Military Friendly® Employers in the December issue of G.I. Jobs® magazine, which is distributed to TAPS centers globally to reach our veteran community. The list can also be found on militaryfriendly.com.

Organizations earning the Military Friendly® Employer designation were evaluated using both public and government data sources with responses from a comprehensive survey completed by the employer.

The methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Victory Media with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion & Advancement of veterans and military employees.

About Military Friendly® Employers

The Military Friendly® Employers list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources for more than 8,800 employers nationwide, input from employed veterans and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Employers survey from participating organizations. The survey questions, methodology, criteria, and weighting were developed with the assistance of an independent research firm (EY) and an advisory council of educators and employers. Ernst & Young is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction, and advisory services, independently evaluated the scoring methodology used for the Military Friendly® Employers list using the criteria set forth by VIQTORY. The services performed by EY are limited to advisory procedures and do not provide assurance over the scoring methodology. The survey is administered for free and is open to all post-secondary schools and employers that wish to participate. Criteria for consideration can be found at www.militaryfriendly.com.
